You’ve heard of the Dreyfus
Affair. You may have heard
about the Mendel Beilis
Trial. But there’s another
story just as fascinating that
has been little discussed. It’s
the case of Sholom
Schwartzbard, theUkrainian watchmaker who
assassinated Symon Petliura,
the pogromchik responsible
for the murder of 40% of the
Jews slaughtered 1917 –
1921, the largest tragedy in
Jewish history up until the
Holocaust. The talk will also
share a few spoilers about
“Justice,” the film script
being written about the
Schwartzbard trial.
