Election processes are in the news frequently as they have become a political
hot topic. People are asking about what has changed in election laws and
requirements and also what they can do. We keep hearing that elections are
fraudulent from one side and that our voting rights are being threatened by
the other side.  Where is the truth, what is changing, and what can we expect
in November and beyond?

Presenter:  Wendy Deuring is a life-long fan of elections and voting.  She joined the
League of Women Voters in 1989, primarily to support candidate forums. At
that time the League moderated presidential forums, but they lost that job the
following year when the political parties found that news networks would
allow the parties to control the questions being asked of the candidates, which
the League adamantly would not do.  She now moderates forums for local
elections across the county. Wendy is also a pollworker.
