Join us for an informative conversation about estate planning
and protecting family assets for future generations. The
session will talk about the importance of having an estate
plan, and steps individuals can take now to protect their
home for their heirs and preserve generational wealth.
Chanel C. Starks, from LISC Cleveland, will discuss common
estate planning documents, including wills, powers of
attorney, healthcare directives, and Transfer on Death
Affidavits, as well as probate and title issues families may
face when a property owner passes away without a clear
estate plan.

In this educational and informational session, no legal
documents or individualized legal advice will be provided.
Participants will receive information about available resources
and how to connect with legal and estate planning
assistance.

Chanel C. Starks leads LISC Cleveland’s housing initiatives,
focused on housing preservation, home repair, heirs property
resolution, and estate planning. Chanel earned an MBA from
the University of Phoenix, and a BSBA from Davd Myers
University. She is also a graduate of the Cleveland State
University Leadership Academy.
